Ian McDonald Jr. was found dead over the weekend on the expressway near Windsor Terrace.

A college athlete and Brooklyn resident was found dead on Sunday, December 4, lying on the Prospect Expressway near Windsor Terrace after what police say appears to be a possible hit-and-run.

According to cops, 20-year-old Ian McDonald, Jr. of East New York was found at about 5:30 a.m. on the shoulder of the road near Exit 3, unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to his body.

Emergency Medical Services pronounced McDonald – a linebacker for the football team at Morrisville State College in upstate New York – dead at the scene.
