A 20-year-old man was arrested for trying to steal a woman’s Jeep on 68th Street between Colonial Road and Ridge Boulevard on Wednesday, May 3.

According to police, at around 10:43 p.m., the alleged perp broke into the vehicle and began to drive away. When the woman saw the car being stolen, she ran towards it and knocked on the driver side window. The man then exited the Jeep and fled the scene on foot. The victim immediately called 911, giving a detailed description of the alleged perp.

Shortly after, cops arrested the individual, who was in possession of the keys to the vehicle. His cellphone was also left in the Jeep.
