68th Precinct officers seize drugs, money during Bay Ridge car stop

Officers from the 68th Precinct seized a large sum of drugs and money during a car stop in Bay Ridge over the weekend.

According to a police source, on Saturday, March 26, police officers were trailing a car after they witnessed a female passenger throw trash out the window. When officers went to stop the vehicle for littering, the male driver tossed a pill bottle containing OxyContin out the window.

At that point, the officers did a check and found that the woman had an outstanding warrant. When they subsequently searched the car, the source said, officers found that it was filled with drugs.

Both the man and the woman were arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance due to the quantity of drugs in the car.
