A 71-year-old man was struck and killed by a 32-year-old driver in Dyker.

A 71-year-old man was struck and killed by a minivan in Dyker Heights.

On Wednesday, April 5 at around 7:04 p.m., police say the man was crossing 13th Avenue mid-block between 83rd and 84th Streets when a 32-year-old man driving a 2006 Toyota Sienna hit him. When police arrived, the victim was laying on the floor unconscious with head and body trauma.

EMS rushed him to Maimonides Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

According to reports, the driver, a 32-year-old male, remained at the scene. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway Patrol Collision Investigation Squad.

The victim reportedly had just left a real estate office where he had gone to get the keys to his new home.

His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
