Cops arrest suspect with attempted murder.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Bay Ridge resident Rustem Lamaj on attempted murder and three counts of assault on Monday, October 23 at around 1:50 p.m. in the wake of a subway attack three days earlier.

According to authorities, on Friday, October 20 at around 3:45 p.m., the victim, a 30-year-old man, and Lamaj, who lives on Third Avenue between 88th and 89th Street, were both on a southbound R train when the alleged perp stepped on the victim’s foot.

When the victim confronted the other man about it, the latter punched him in the face several times. Once the victim was on the ground, the alleged attacker kicked and punched him several times in the head and face. The perp then fled the scene once the train stopped at the 36th Street station, entering a southbound D train.

The victim was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn by EMS. He is listed in critical but stable condition.
