BJ’s job fair is coming to Bensonhurst

In an effort to help area residents connect with new jobs, Councilmember Vincent Gentile and Community Board 11 have joined forces to host a “Job Information Night” event on Tuesday, June 17 to let people know about positions that will be available at the new BJ’s opening in Bensonhurst this summer. The event will be held in the auditorium of the Sephardic Home, 2266 Cropsey Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m. in advance of the opening of the new 200,000-square-foot BJ’s megastore at 1752 Shore Parkway. This will be BJ’s third store in Brooklyn. Headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, BJ’s Wholesale Club operates 201 stores in 15 states from Maine to Florida and employs over 25,000 people. It offers numerous discounts and rebates for its members, and offers career opportunities in various fields ranging from Finance to Marketing. “Communities and the companies therein must work together for the good of everyone,” Gentile said. “BJ’s is committed to improving the quality of life and enhancing the vitality of the neighborhoods in which they operate.”
