Cops say the body of a man was found floating in the waters of the New York Harbor near the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge on Thursday, September 22.

According to police, authorities responded to a 911 call of an unconscious man within the confines of the 62nd Precinct — which serves the neighborhoods of Bensonhurst, Bath Beach and Gravesend — at around 8:38 a.m. Thursday morning.

The body — of a man who The New York Post reports is anywhere from 20 to 30 years old with a back tattoo that reads “In Memory of Eddie” — was taken to Marine Basin Marina where Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
