Burglar nabs over 20K worth of jewelry from Bay Ridge home

Cops say a 35-year-old man’s home on 78th Street between Fourth and Fifth Avenues was burglarized with over $20,000 worth of jewelry stolen on Monday, December 18.

According to reports, the man said that his mother left the apartment at around 11:45 a.m. When she returned at around 2:30 p.m., she saw that the top lock of the front door was unlocked and that an unknown perp broke into the apartment, stole the goods and fled the scene. The crook left behind a chisel that authorities believe might have been used to pry open the locked drawer.

No arrests have been made.
