Car crashes into Bay Ridge scaffolding

On Saturday, December 13, a local driver lost control of his 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer, which jumped the curb and slammed into the scaffolding of a building at Fourth Avenue and 74th Street around 1 a.m.

The car came to a stop on the sidewalk, causing the scaffolding partially to collapse.

Once person was injured and removed to a local hospital by Emergency Medical Services while the Fire Department remained on the scene to secure the scaffolding and prevent any further collapse.

The Mitsubishi sustained heavy damage as a result of the crash.
