Cell store heist in Bensonhurst leads to one stolen iPhone, three crooks nabbed

A trio of men robbed an 18th Avenue cell phone store of one big-ticket item on Friday, October 14. According to police, three robbers – described by police as black men ages 28, 50 and 30 – were involved in the incident that took place at the store at around 6:05 p.m.

Cops say the 28-year-old cut an iPhone 7 off of its security cord with pliers, removed it from its display case and ran out of the store and into a gray Honda that was waiting outside. Police say the 50-year-old and 30-year-old were inside the car.

Officers later found the three suspects and after a search, found that the 28-year-old was in possession of various “burglar tools” and a box cutter. All three suspects were arrested.
