Colonial Club hosts bi-weekly meet-and-greet

The Colonial Club is not just another business group.

The Colonial is not a networking club, explains club member,Peter Killen. It really is more of a meet-and-greet-a friendshipgroup. We’ve all become friends.

According to Killen, if networking does happen at the group’sbi-monthly luncheons, the most recent of which took place on April21 at Gino’s Restaurant in Bay Ridge, it is done very subtly.

If that goes on, it goes on very quietly, Killen said. Idon’t think it would happen inside that room.

What does happen inside a Colonial Club meeting, is a spiritedround of conversation among local residents who clearly have astrong interest in the happenings of other members. And accordingto Killen, the club is always looking to expand its membership.

It could be a business person, someone who can get away fromwork for a couple hours twice a month-somebody who wants to meetfantastically interesting people involved in the Bay Ridgecommunity, Killen said.
