Friday Fireworks kick off tonight, June 23, at Coney Island.

The annual Coney Island free firework show will light up the sky once again starting on June 23 at 9:30 p.m. on Coney Island Beach.

The fireworks display will continue every Friday through September 1, at 9:30 p.m.

The displays, which are sponsored by the Alliance for Coney Island, have lit up the sky for years have been a much loved tradition for residents and visitors alike.

Coney Island will also be celebrating the 90th birthday of the Cyclone, the iconic roller coaster, with a block party on West 10th Street on Sunday, June 25, beginning at noon. Among the highlights will be music from Power 105’s DJ Will, plus Angela Yee of the Breakfast Club and the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters!
