Cops recovered a car and its driver that was driven into the 69th Street Pier on Thursday, November 9.

On Thursday, November 9, three days after the incident, cops recovered the car and body of the driver that crashed into the water off of the 69th Street Veterans Memorial Pier .

According to authorities, NYPD scuba divers recovered a Black Toyota Rav 4 from the water at around 12:45 p.m. The driver, a 54-year-old male Hispanic, was found dead inside the car. Police sources have labeled the occurrence an apparent suicide.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending proper family notification.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.

The car crashed into the water on Monday, November 6 at around 1 a.m.
