Cops seek robber who broke into Bath Avenue apartment building

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of a man wanted for questioning in connection to a Bath Beach robbery that happened last month.

According to police, at around 11:58 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, an unidentified man walked into a residential building located near Bath Avenue and Bay 17th Street and kicked in the door to an apartment. According to cops, once inside, the man demanded money from a 59-year-old resident, took $400 from his pocket and an additional $200 from a dresser drawer.

The unidentified thief – described by police as a 5’10,” 200 pound black man between the ages of 25 and 35 with a muscular build – then fled the building via a stairwell. The 59-year-old was not injured.

The unidentified man was last seen wearing a dark jacket, dark colored pants and a red baseball cap.
