The suspects.

Cops are still looking to identify the duo they say assaulted a young man with baseball bats in late September.

According to police, at about 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 21, the two suspects — with a group of four to five other men — allegedly approached a 22-year-old man near New Utrecht Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway in the 62nd Precinct and began attacking him with two bats.

Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of multiple contusions, a fractured jaw, a fracture in his back, lacerations, swelling and head trauma.

The first suspect was said to be wearing eyeglasses, a black shirt and gray shorts. The second was said to be wearing a blue t-shirt. No further details were made available in the media alert, sent by the NYPD on January 20.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at ‪1-800-577-TIPS‬ (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
