Drive-In Movie Night coming to the New York Aquarium

Have your windshields cleaned and your popcorn handy!

The New York Aquarium will host its first ever Drive-In Movie Night on Saturday, November 21.

Starting at 6 p.m., the aquarium parking lot will play host to a bevy of cars (and their respective families), all looking to enjoy a showing of the 1991 classic, “The Addams Family.”

“Bring all your family and friends down to the New York Aquarium Parking lot and enjoy a viewing of “The Addams Family,” just like they used to in the old days,” said Councilmember Mark Treyger, who arranged the event with the help of NYC Parks Department and the New York Aquarium.

“I want to show residents that they don’t have to travel to the suburbs to get experiences like this,” Treyger added. “I want to bring these experiences to them. Residents in our community deserve to have more activities like this one available to them. I am dedicated to making events like this a staple of our community’s social calendar. This is something that brings together family and friends, while making use of one of our neighborhood’s greatest assets: the New York Aquarium.”

Free treats will be available throughout the night, according to Treyger. The New York Aquarium is located at 602 Surf Avenue.
