Man assaulted by knife-wielding assailant in Gravesend

A 38-year old man was assaulted with a knife on the morning of Friday, July 29 while standing in front of a Gravesend convenience store, according to 61st Precinct police.

The victim was slashed multiple times at approximately 2:30 a.m. while in front of Marlboro Mini Mart (2835 86th Street) by the alleged assailant, who then fled. Police described the individual as male, Black, in his 20’s, approximately 5’2” tall, weighing 125 lbs., with black eyes and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, green jogging pants and black sneakers.

The victim was taken to Coney Island Hospital for treatment and then released.
