A 28-year-old man was arrested for attacking his 25-year-old girlfriend with a knife inside an apartment near 24th Avenue and 83rd Street on Friday, September 1. Reports say that at around 7:15 a.m., the man grabbed a knife, approached his girlfriend, grabbed her by the neck and squeezed it.

The victim states the alleged perp attempted to stab her. She eventually got free. When she tried to call the police, the man took the phone away from her and said, “You’re not calling the cops.”

The man was later arrested on assault charges.
