Nearly 700 people were on hand at El Caribe Country Club, on Strickland Avenue in Mill Basin, as the Kings County Democrats held their annual gala on Thursday, May 19.
Among the headliners at the event were Mayor Bill de Blasio (who arrived, proclamation in hand), City Comptroller Scott Stringer and New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.
“It was one of the finest county dinners we have had in years,” noted Frank Seddio, the chair of the Kings County Democratic Party. “The response was overwhelming, and a good time was had by all.”
