Local Democratic Party parties in advance of the holiday

The frigid weather outside belied the warmth within as one local Democratic Party official threw a holiday celebration that drew people from every corner of the borough.

The crowd grew and grew over the evening at the event hosted by Democratic District Leader Lori Knipel and the Lefkowitz family at Waterford on the Bay, 2900 Bragg Street.

Among those spotted were State Senators Roxanne Persaud and Kevin Parker; Councilmembers Alan Maisel, David Greenfield and Chaim Deutsch; judges, union officials and district leaders; and numerous members of Brooklyn Community Board 14, which Knipel belongs to.

The diverse crowd really represented the borough of Brooklyn, Knipel stressed.

The holiday party has been held for well over a decade.
