The celebration is part of series, hosted by Assemblymember William Colton Democratic District Leader and City Council candidate Nancy Tong, that honored mothers throughout the beginning of the month and included musical performances, dances and a variety of food.

Other festivities included a celebration on May 7 at Second Home Senior Center and on May 8 with thr New York Holocaust Survivors Association at National Restaurant.

“We all have mothers who give us love, values, knowledge, wisdom and life. We are helping mothers to celebrate Mother’s Day throughout the neighborhood as we show our appreciation to all mothers,” Tong said.
