Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting in front of a Sunset Park Popeye’s early last month.
Wu Long Chen, 48, was taken into custody on Monday, January 4 after allegedly shooting 68-year-old Bensonhurst resident Ying Guan Chen in the head, torso and right arm outside of the eatery – located at 6103 Seventh Avenue – on Monday, December 7.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. that night. The victim was pronounced dead shortly after at NYU Lutheran.
The suspect has been charged with second degree murder and second degree criminal possession of a weapon.
