A 25-year-old man was shot in the foot last week in Sunset Park, according to cops.

Police say the victim was assaulted at Second Avenue and 36th Street on Thursday, January 12 at around 10:15 p.m. after making a guest appearance on a local podcast. As the victim was heading to his car, an unknown man allegedly approached him and punched him in the back of the head. Afterwards, the victim heard gun shots.

The victim ran westbound on 36th Street towards Second Avenue as the victim realized that he had been shot in the right foot.

He was removed to NYU Lutheran Medical Center for treatment. On the scene, cops found shell casings.
