Man skips out on cab fare after assaulting driver in Bay Ridge

A 38-year-old male taxi driver was attacked and stiffed of his fare when he dropped off a 30-year-old man in Bay Ridge over the weekend.

The driver claims that, on Saturday, December 31 at around 12:45 a.m., he picked up the passenger at 96th Street and Second Avenue in Manhattan when he requested a ride to Fourth Avenue and 86th Street in Brooklyn.

As the two approached Sixth Avenue and 86th Street, the passenger allegedly sprayed the driver in the eyes with an unknown liquid and fled the taxi without paying the $50 fare.
