Cops arrested a 55-year-old man for stabbing a 38-year-old man on the northeast corner of 49th Street and Fifth Avenue earlier this month.

Accord to reports, on Thursday, May 18 at around 12 p.m., the victim was walking down the block when the alleged attacker — who cops say was someone the victim knew — took out a knife and stabbed him in the back twice before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The victim was rushed to NYU Lutheran Medical Center where he was treated for two stab wounds that required six stitches and a collapsed lung.

Police arrested the alleged perp shortly after.
