Pedestrian struck by car outside of Bay Ridge supermarket

A woman was struck by a vehicle at Bay Ridge’s Key Fresh & Natural Supermarket after the driver of a silver Hyundai lost control and crashed into a fruit stand in front of the store.

According to family of the victim, the woman, who has been identified as the mother of a cashier at the supermarket, was struck by the vehicle in front of the market—located at 7918 Third Avenue—on Tuesday, October 20 and taken to Lutheran Medical Center. The female driver remained on the scene.

The victim is said to have suffered severe head trauma at the scene. She is now in stable condition.
