PHOTOS: Costumes shine at St. Anselm’s annual Halloween party

In typical costumed fashion, St. Anselm Youth Activities hosted its annual Halloween Party and Dance on Saturday, October 29.

According to event Chairperson Mary Corsi, this year’s shindig saw more attendees than ever, with over 250 coming out to show their support for Saint Anselm Catholic Academy.

“It was awesome,” said Corsi. “We had a lot of new games and prizes and the kids are still talking about it this week.”

Party-goers “danced like crazy,” Corsi said, noting that this year’s DJ was “absolutely fantastic.”

The Bay Ridge tradition — held at 1 p.m. in Meletia Hall in the basement of the school — also saw a pumpkin decorating contest as well as pizza and goodies for the kids.

“For the first time, random people are stopping and saying that it was fantastic,” Corsi said. “It was fantastic and such a success. I hope that we can continue to keep it a success.”
