The tree on 13th Avenue.

It’s not just the houses in Dyker Heights that get into the holiday spirit year after year.

The ‘hood celebrated once more on Friday, December 8 at the 13th Avenue Merchants Association’s annual Christmas Tree lighting in front of Investors Bank.

The two-story tree, located at 13th Avenue and Bay Ridge Parkway, is among the more extravagant holiday light displays in the nabe, famous for its larger than life displays.

This year’s tree lighting was made possible by leading sponsors, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Investors Bank and Councilmember Vincent Gentile. Of course, the lighting could not be possible each year without help from participating merchants.
