Police seek robber who struck in Windsor Terrace

Cops are hunting for a robber who struck in Windsor Terrace, knocking down his victim before taking off with her possessions.

According to police, it was 8:25 a.m. on Friday, May 26 when the 23-year-old female was robbed in front of 310 Vanderbilt Avenue.

According to cops, the thief approached the woman from behind and elbowed the left side of her face before shoving her to the ground. He then ran off on foot with the woman’s purse and cellphone, eventually dropping the purse as he fled.

Police describe the suspect as a black man between 20-25 years of age with braided hair, last seen wearing a dark colored shirt and dark jeans.

The victim was treated at NYU Lutheran Medical Center for her injury.
