Fifteen-year-old Destiny Garcia has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder after police found the bodies of her mother, 39-year-old Rosie Sanchez, and her mother’s boyfriend, Anderson Nunez, 40, dead inside of their Sheepshead Bay apartment on Sunday, January 3.

As this paper previously reported, the couple was found by police after a call for a wellness check of the Batchelder Street apartment came in at about 6:30 p.m.

Several reports are claiming that the teen was repeatedly raped by Nunez and ignored by her mother in regards to the incidents.

Police found the pair inside of apartment 5A at 2364 Batchelder Street–Sanchez with multiple gunshot wounds and Nunez with gunshot and stab wounds all over his body.

The suspect was reportedly picked up in Sunset Park and was also charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The investigation is ongoing.
