Society of Artistic Veterans receives check from TD Bank

TD Bank gives back to veterans!

The Society of Artistic Veterans (SocArtVets), an organization of over 400 veterans in New York City which aims to provide education and opportunities for military veterans who are pursuing professional careers in the arts, joined TD Bank, 211 Montague Street, on Friday, November 18 for a check presentation and to apply for the bank’s Bring Change Initiative.

“We have the great fortune to work with some incredible partners within the industry,” said Neath Williams, creative director for SocArtVets. “We were encouraged to apply for the TD Bank Bring Change initiative from our amazing partners at Intersections Internationals and their Service Together programming.”

According to Williams, the event and generosity of the bank means a lot, both to himself and the organization. “The event was really great and the folks at TD Bank were gracious, friendly and we really enjoyed interacting with them and discussing other ways to connect,” Williams said.

He also credited the TD team for being eager to share ideas on other ways the organization can benefit from their network of artists and arts organizations.  “I cannot be more thankful and appreciative to the efforts and generosity of all the employees involved at the local TD Banks who helped make this event possible,” he said, adding that SocArtVets was grateful for the donation.

“Our organization is still relatively new and growing and has taken some knocks along the way, but we still bring great programs through our own productions and partnerships to the veteran and artistic communities of New York City,” he went on.

According to Williams, the donation will be used for designing the organization’s new website and upcoming programming.

Along with Williams, in attendance were several representatives of TD Bank and SocArtVets Executive Director Michael Castelblanco, USMC.
