Student artists honored during ceremony marking annual Halloween Art Contest

A little over a month after they painted the town shades of orange and brown and gold, student artists from across Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights were honored for their efforts in the annual Halloween Art Contest sponsored by the Bay Ridge Community Council.

Awards were handed out to the dozens and dozens of youngsters from elementary through high school who took part in the beloved community-wide event during a ceremony at Fort Hamilton High School, 85th Street and Narrows Avenue, on the evening of Tuesday, November 28.

Participating students from public, private and parochial schools in District 20 painted the  seasonal scenes on the windows of Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights businesses on Thursday, October 26.
