The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for burglary within the confines of the 61st Precinct.

Cops say the unidentified man broke into an apartment on East 28th Street in Sheepshead Bay through a window on the first floor, and stole an iPhone 6 and a checkbook. He is described as a black male and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
