TASTE Williamsburg Greenpoint tickets now for sale (and we’re giving away two tickets!)

Rain or shine, Brooklyn’s beloved culinary block party is officially on for its seventh annual celebration — and we’re giving away two tickets!

Featuring over 50 of North Brooklyn’s mouth-watering eateries, breweries and wineries, Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint is set for Sunday, September 18, from 1 to 5 p. m at at East River State Park, 90 Kent Avenue. Expect Williamsburg’s scenic water front to be chockful with delectable samples, live music, food demonstrations and activities.

“This special event invites locals and residents to celebrate a cause by honoring a culture and cuisine unique to the neighborhood we love. It brings together the community for a day of festivities that will include great food, drinks and live performances.” said TASTE Williamsburg Event Director Dana Krieger.

The festival showcases the best of the neighborhoods’ cuisine paired with a spectacular view of Manhattan’s skyline. The highly anticipated food fest is intended for a crowd of people 21 and older, although small children will be permitted entry. Taste Williamsburg Greenpoint is also specific to humans; therefore no furry friends can get a bite of the culinary fun.

TASTE Williamsburg is making sure to tailor the offerings to a wide variety of taste palettes. As a new addition this year, as many as eight stations will feature delicious vegan and vegetarian dishes. Don’t miss out on the three new frozen cocktails, either.

The culmination of the food festivities is all in good spirits, too. All ticket sales proceeds are being donated to the renovation and operation of the Firehouse North Brooklyn Community Center, formerly the Engine 212 Firehouse at 134 Wythe Avenue. This year’s event will mark the capstone of the effort to reach the $2.6 million goal for transforming the old firehouse. The new and improved spaced will be utilized as a cultural hub, promoting communal activity and providing a stable home for local justice organizations.

Three ticket packages are available for purchase now, on www.eventbrite.com, to accommodate all Brooklynites. General admission Firehouse tickets start at $35, offering four tastes and two drinks.  The next upgrade, the Firehouse Plus, provides eight tastes and four drinks for $60. Sales for both are ending on Saturday, September 17.

For a limited time, Early Bird VIP tickets offer 30 minutes of early access to the event, 12 tastes and six drinks, Brooklyn Brewery Beer and a gift bag, all for $85 (through September 2). Donations towards the firehouse will be accepted until Sunday, August 28. All sales are non-refundable.
