A hangout at a 16th Avenue schoolyard turned violent on Sunday, September 11, according to police.

Cops say that two perps, described by police as Hispanic teens, robbed an 18-year-old Middle Eastern teen of his clothes and phone at around 9:45 p.m. The 18-year-old told police that one of the perps pulled a knife on him while the other punched him several times and knocked him to the ground.

After the duo fled, the victim called his father who was able to spot the teens nearby at 14th Avenue and 64th Street. The victim’s dad was able to recover the cellphone from one of the perps before the pair fled on bicycles.
