Arrest made in Stillwell Avenue shooting

Update:

Manhattan resident, 24-year-old Bryan Panarella, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, two counts of assault, two counts of robbery and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in regards to this case.

Cops responded to a 911 call of gunshots inside a home near West 13th Street and Stillwell Avenue on Tuesday, May 26 around 11:17 p.m., within the confines of the 62nd precinct.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two 26-year-old men, both with gunshot wounds to the torso.

Emergency Medical Services transported the first victim to Lutheran Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. The second victim, identified as Galvin Becerra – a resident of the building in which he was found – was transported to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
