VIDEO: Cops seek man wanted for attempted gunpoint robbery in Bensonhurst

The NYPD is seeking a man wanted in connection with an attempted gunpoint robbery in Bensonhurst.

Cops say that on Tuesday, January 9 at around 7:50 in the morning, the victim, a 16-year-old male teen, was walking on 61st Street between 18th and 19th Avenues when the crook came from behind, took out a gun and demanded the victim give him his coat. When the teen refused, a struggle took place. The perp then hit the teen in the face with the weapon several times before fleeing eastbound on 61st Street without the coat. The victim sustained cuts to his face and head.

The suspect is described as a male black, 5’10”. He was last seen wearing a beige jacket, a gray hooded sweater, gray sweatpants and red boots or sneakers.
