VIDEO: Cops seek perp who tried to rob 82-year-old man in Bensonhurst area

Authorities are looking to identify a man in connection with the attempted robbery of an 82-year-old man in the Bensonhurst area.

According to police, on Saturday, August 26 at around 7:50 p.m., the victim was outside a restaurant at 8512 Bay Parkway when the perp approached him, grabbed his wrist and demanded both his money and jewelry. The victim was able to get away and his attacker fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5’9” and 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, royal blue shirt and dark colored pants.
