Cops say a woman lost part of her lip in a vicious assault that took place on a Sunset Park street last week.

According to police, a 47-year-old woman had part of her lip bitten off by an assailant, a 44-year-old man, on Thursday, January 19 at around 4:10 a.m. at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue.

The man, who was arrested, also threw the victim’s phone on the ground.

The victim was sent to the hospital for treatment. It is unclear what prompted the attack.
