Woody Allen spotted dining at Bay Ridge restaurant

Third Avenue has gone to the stars.

American actor, writer, director and household name Woody Allen was seen chowing down on some oysters at Bay Ridge’s own the Pearl Room, 8202 Third Avenue, at around 3 p.m. on Monday, September 14.

“It was great to host Woody Allen for lunch,” said Pearl Room owner and executive chef Anthony Rinaldi of the celeb, known for his direction of the 1977 flick “Annie Hall,” among other classics. “His manager called beforehand.”

According to those at the Pearl Room, Allen was simply in the neighborhood.

“They’re filming a movie [nearby] and they wanted some good seafood,” said Rinaldi, whose restaurant is no stranger to celeb sightings, including, within the past year, the likes of “Jeopardy” host Alex Trebek, Sherri Sheppard of “The View” and Jon Taffer of SPIKE TV’s “Bar Rescue,” among others.
