Brooklyn dad dies after being buried in car by snow

A 44-year-old man was found dead in the driver’s seat of his snowed-in car on Monday, January 25, according to cops.

Police discovered Angel Ginel’s body — unconscious and unresponsive — in the driver’s seat of a 2003 Lexus parked in front of 525 47th Street in Sunset Park.

While the official cause of death is still pending, Ginel is believed to have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning after he was trapped inside the vehicle by a mound of snow left by a passing snowplow.

According to reports, the Brooklyn dad–who leaves behind a wife and four children–had taken a break from shoveling to charge his cellphone.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for those who wish to donate to Ginel’s family.
