Hillary Clinton to speak at Medgar Evers College commencement

Former presidential candidate and political powerhouse Hillary Clinton will revisit the home borough of her campaign office this June when she delivers the commencement address at Crown Heights’ Medgar Evers College.

The former secretary of state, first lady and New York State senator, who stopped by Medgar Evers along the campaign trail, will also be awarded an honorary doctorate from the college.

“We are absolutely delighted and honored that Secretary Clinton will grace our stage at our 46th commencement,” said college president Rudolph Crew in a statement. “She has had an outstanding career as a public servant, breaker of barriers and champion of many good causes.”

The CUNY school’s graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 8 at the Barclays Center.

Clinton will also address graduates during another commencement speech at her alma mater, Wellesley College.
