Maimonides fetes its volunteers

Over 450 people from many different walks of life were honored for their volunteer work at Maimonides Hospital’s Volunteer Luncheon held at Paradise Manor on Wednesday, June 11.

The participants gave their time to various programs around the medical center such as the Hospitality Program, Companions, Mended Hearts and Ladies Auxiliary.

Maimonides President and C.E.O. Pamela Brier, several trustees and senior staff members, as well as department staff, plus guest speakers and several invited community guests attended the event to honor the exemplary volunteers.

“When you see people between the ages of 16 through 96 in the same room honoring and respecting one another – that’s what makes life worth living,” said Douglas Jablon, senior vice president of Patient Relations at Maimonides Hospital.
