Perp attacks two in Park Slope

Police are looking for a man, they say, attacked and robbed an elderly woman and robbed a man that attempted to intervene on Wednesday, March 2 in Park Slope.

According to police reports, at about 1 p.m., a 91-year-old woman was approached and then grabbed from behind as she entered a building located at 555 Ninth Street, between Eighth Avenue and Prospect Park West.

The attacker allegedly placed the woman in a chokehold, and then flashed a handgun, demanding her money. During the attack, a 50-year-old man came across the two in the lobby, and was also subsequently robbed at gunpoint. The suspect then fled, making off with approximately $370.

The individual is described as a black male, between 40 and 50 years old, 5’10” to 6′ and 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, black jacket, black wool cap, black gloves, light colored pants and dark colored shoes.
