PHOTOS: Annual Fall Harvest Festival wows with pumpkin picking and costumed pups

The Narrows Botanical Garden’s annual Fall Harvest Festival went to the dogs on Sunday, October 16 as it featured activities for the whole family — even our four-legged, furry friends.

The event — which took place from noon to 5 p.m. — featured a locally sourced craft fair, a pumpkin patch where kids could pick and paint their own, and a canine costume contest, presented by Mary Jo Tobin and Judi Tenzer.

Though there was free admission to the festival, all proceeds from the pumpkin patch went directly to supporting projects and maintenance at the Narrows Botanical Garden.

Music was provided by the Al ‘e’ Mo Square Dancers, and Sean Casey Animal Rescue was on hand with its mobile adoption unit.
