Cops apprehend suspect wanted in connection to four commercial Bay Ridge robberies.

A male suspect has been apprehended in connection to four store holdups in Bay Ridge, including two in the last week.

The suspect was picked up today, according to Deputy Inspector Joseph Hayward, the commanding officer of the 68th Precinct, who told this paper that while, “The investigation is still ongoing,” the individual taken into custody would be “charged with four commercial robberies that happened in Bay Ridge.”

In the most recent incident, on Friday, February 23 around 11:05 p.m., the suspect is believed to have entered a store on the corner of Marine and Third Avenues, pointed his firearm at the store’s employee and demanded cash. The man stole around $170 cash from the victim and fled the scene.

There were no injuries sustained during the robbery.

Police described the suspect as a white man wearing a black hat and jacket with the hood up.

Witnesses described the man as fleeing the scene in a black SUV.

In an earlier incident, on Tuesday, February 20, the suspect is believed to have held up a 75-year-old deli employee at P and K Gift Shop near Bay Ridge Avenue and Ridge Boulevard, stealing over $200.

Authorities say that at around 6:45 p.m., a man believed to be the suspect entered the shop, pointed the firearm at the victim’s waistband and demanded cash. The man handed $250 to the crook who then fled the scene on foot eastbound on Bay Ridge Avenue.
