There’s a Lot of History at Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten!

The Brooklyn Bavarian Biergarten is historic, fun and the place to go this summer for some of the finest food and drink in the borough.

Beer lovers will have the chance to enjoy some of the Biergarten’s impressive collection of German and New York brews, while wine lovers will be equally impressed with the large variety of wines offered.

Guests have referred to the Biergarten as an “urban oasis” or a “lush paradise” with an indoor and outdoor beer garden that’s visually appealing with its incredible greenery, fragrant flowers and tranquil water fountain.

In fact, it is the perfect place to bring a group of friends for a relaxing outdoor lunch or dinner. The garden can accommodate 500 people and surrounds a glass-enclosed inside area that can hold another 500 guests.

And you know you’re in good hands when you are greeted by the Grand Prospect Hall’s iconic owners Michael and Alice Halkias. Chances are you’ve seen them on TV promoting the Grand Prospect Hall as the place to make your “dreams come true.”

Now they will be the first to tell you that the Biergarten is the place to make “beer lovers’ dreams come true.”
Their impressive selection of German beers on draft includes Hofbrau, Grevensteiner, Schofferhofer Grapefruit, Fruh Kolsch, Radeberger and Weihenstephan.

If you’re not familiar with some these refreshingly authentic German brews, now is your chance to stop by and discover why these are among the finest beers in the world.

And once you’ve found the perfect beer, you might want to pair it with one of the Biergarten’s incredible entrees. And the best place to start is with the sampler of German Wurst Sausages served with gherkins, caramelized pearl onions and sauerkraut.

Or you might just want to enjoy a giant German pretzel served with Bavarian mustard and dips. And on weekends you can enjoy some fine music while you drink and dine.

For over three decades Michael and Alice Halkias have been behind one of Brooklyn’s finest event halls, and they are just as proud of their outdoor Biergarten, one of the borough’s true hidden treasures!

The Biergarten is open Wednesday and Thursday, 4-11 p.m.; Friday, 4 p.m.-1 a.m.; Saturday, noon-1 a.m.; and Sunday, noon-11 p.m.
