I screamed, you screamed, we all screamed for ice cream at the annual July 15 “National Ice Cream Day” event sponsored by United Healthcare and AMP Insurance Brokerage.
AMP Insurance Brokerage owner Louis Peters donned a white ice cream hat and directed guests to the ice cream truck parked in front of his office at 7709 Fifth Avenue.
“This is our fourth annual event,” Peters told this paper. “We do it every year on ‘National Ice Cream Day’ to show our appreciation for our clients and everyone who loves ice cream.”
Joining Peters were AMP Insurance Brokerage representatives Hernan, Ruben and Rosario Hernandez along with licensed sales representative Adam Zak.
Peters, a community leader who has been involved in health care for more than 35 years, said “We are always trying to give back to Bay Ridge, which I have been a resident of for over 60 years.”
He is also involved with the Bay Ridge chapter of AARP and speaks at various community meetings about United Healthcare Medicare solutions and the various plans available to enrollees.
Peters said he was very proud to represent United Healthcare. “United Healthcare’s mission is to help people live healthier lives and we have been in New York for over 30 years. We offer a full portfolio of products to help seniors from all walks of life,” added Peters.
