VIDEO: Cops seek man wanted for attempted burglary in Bensonhurst area

The NYPD are seeking a man who attempted to burglarize a home in the Bensonhurst area.

According to authorities, on Monday, April 16 at around 7 p.m., the burglar tried to enter an apartment at 71st Street and 20th Avenue through a rear bedroom window from the fire escape. The victim, a 34-year-old woman, saw the perp entering her room, yelled at him and filmed him on her phone. The man never got inside the apartment. Instead, he went down the fire escape and headed in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as male Hispanic, approximately 22-25 years old, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue Yankees jacket.
