Cops are looking to identify the crook they say burgled a Bay Ridge basement in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 27.

According to authorities, at around 1:45 a.m., a man said to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s entered a residential apartment building near 78th Street and Fourth Avenue by walking in as a tenant was leaving.

The perp is said to have then entered the basement before fleeing the scene with two drills, a saw and a plumbing snake.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.

All calls are strictly confidential.
